S T O P

I‘m finally getting there! ✨Nothing worked last week, and yesterday I felt guilty for not having enough energy for my family, and for a very unproductive week.I was sad and frustrated and decided to try a mindfulness strategy (STOP) I had just learned in my Positive Psychology Master´s course✅ S (Stop): I focused my attention on my thoughts, feelings and emotions at that moment.✅ T (Take a break): I closed my eyes and concentrated on my breathing, which helped me reach a calmer state.✅ O (Observe): My attention moved from my breathing to the rest of my body. Then to all my senses, the noises around me…✅ P (Possibilities): Thr last step is to move on to the world around you, with curiosity and openness to respond naturally to whatever comes next.In theory once calmer, you should choose a positive experience that contrasts with the stress you were experiencing before the exercise, like feeling the breeze on your face…So I went for a run!And gained my energy back, generated positive thoughts, and creativity: I had the best idea of the year. . . I´m fixing my beautiful scooter. 10 years in the garage: 3 pregnancies, and 3 babies. It didn´t make sense to fix it… until yesterday! And I´m taking it to the repair shop today. It was not only the endorphins. After years of trying to meditate, I finally see some improvements. And instead of incense and yogi pants, mindfulness brought me a scooter. How cool is that?Tell me a positive effect that sports or meditation had on you!And have a great day! 😊
